This Veterans Day, Star City is proud to give back to someone who has given so much for our country. Nominate a local veteran for the opportunity to receive a new furnace and four hours of installation labor. Share their story and tell us what this gift would mean for their home and household.
Help Us Give Back to a Local Veteran
A warm home is something everyone should be able to count on. Through our Veterans Day Furnace Giveaway, Star City is helping one local veteran with the cost of a new furnace as a thank-you for their service. If you know a veteran in Lincoln or within a 40-mile radius who could benefit, share their story in the nomination form below.
Nominations open October 12, 2026, at 9 a.m. Central Time and close October 30, 2026, at 9 a.m. Central Time. The recipient will be selected through a random drawing from eligible entries on or about November 6, 2026, subject to eligibility verification.
Who is Eligible?
The nominated veteran must meet the following requirements as of October 30, 2026.

- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a veteran
- Nominee's existing furnace must be at least 10 years old
- Own the residential home where the furnace will be installed
- Have their home in Lincoln, NE, or within a 40–mile radius
- Meet all additional requirements in the 2026 official rules
What the Selected Veteran Will Receive
The giveaway includes one new furnace and four hours of installation labor, with an approximate retail value of $7,500. The system includes a 10-year parts warranty and a one-year labor warranty. Installation must be completed before the end of 2026.
Additional labor, accessories, and add-ons are not included. Attic and crawl space systems are excluded. Please review the Official Rules for complete price details and limitations.
